Time and Tide

Time and tide (tijd en tij)  is a cinematic essay on stillness.

For two years, filmmaker Marleen van der Werf has been exploring her fear of, and longing for the void of stillness.
Time and tide is her cinematographic observation of nature
quietening.
As a response to the pornification of the natural world in wildlife film and nature documentary.

The cinematic essay Time and Tide is filmed at the North Sea coast, on the island Terschelling and in Bergen.
